Dual-socket Xeon Gold 6136 virtualization server

This HP ProLiant DL380 Gen10 rackmount system ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6136 processors running at 3.00GHz, each delivering 12 cores for a total of 24 threads. 64GB of DDR4 memory is installed and the chassis can accept up to 3TB when fully populated. The unit is designed for business workloads such as virtualization, databases, file storage, backups and application hosting in data centres or server rooms.

Ten 2.5-inch SAS drive bays and quad-port NIC

The front panel provides 10 hot-plug SFF bays populated with 1.2TB SAS drives, while the chassis architecture supports up to 24 SFF devices in alternative configurations. A 331FLR quad-port network adapter supplies four Ethernet links for redundancy or segmentation. RAID protection is handled by an HPE Smart Array controller, and the platform also accepts SATA and NVMe media when the appropriate backplane is fitted.

Two-processor limit defines maximum compute

Only two processor sockets exist, so the installed pair of Gold 6136 CPUs already reaches the platform ceiling of 28 cores per socket. Buyers who need more than 24 total cores or higher single-thread frequency must select a different server family. The fixed 10-bay SFF layout also limits internal storage expansion compared with 24-bay variants.
