Dual 18-core Xeon rack server

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 arrives as a 2U rack-mount system populated with two Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors running at 2.3GHz. Each CPU delivers 18 cores and 45MB of cache for a total of 36 cores across the platform. The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch SAS drive bays behind the front bezel. This configuration targets virtualisation hosts, database clusters and compute-heavy workloads that benefit from high core density in a standard rack footprint.

Dual 500W supplies with updated firmware

Two 500W Flex Slot power supplies share the load and provide redundancy for the fully populated CPU and memory configuration. BIOS and firmware are updated to the latest stable release before dispatch and the unit undergoes a full diagnostic burn-in. Integrated iLO Advanced remote management allows out-of-band monitoring of thermals, power draw and system health without requiring an operating system to be running.

P440 SAS controller plus 10GbE networking

The installed Smart Array P440 PCIe SAS controller manages RAID across the eight drive bays and supports mixed SAS and SSD media. A quad-port Intel network card adds two 10GbE and two 1GbE connections for high-throughput east-west traffic. Rail kits are available on request and the server ships without drives so storage can be specified to match capacity and performance requirements.
