System-Specific DDR3 ECC Kit

This 16GB kit contains two 8GB DDR3 1333 registered DIMMs built for Supermicro SuperWorkstation 7036A and 7046A systems. It delivers ECC error correction and registered signalling required by those workstations. The modules run at 1.5V with CL9 latency and use a 2Rx4 organisation. They are not compatible with standard desktop platforms.

Registered DIMM Upgrade Path

Each 240-pin module fits the workstation's DDR3 slots and expects a chipset that supports registered ECC memory. The kit replaces Supermicro part numbers such as MEMDR380LCL01ER13 and MEMDR380LHL01ER13. It cannot be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs, so all slots must use registered modules. No heat spreader is included, leaving clearance for dense server configurations.

16GB Capacity Envelope

The 16GB total suits memory-hungry server workloads, virtualization hosts, or NAS appliances that benefit from ECC integrity. Workloads requiring more than 16GB will need additional registered kits or higher-density DIMMs. Buyers needing unbuffered memory for consumer boards or capacities beyond this kit's limit should look elsewhere.
