This OWC kit supplies 256 GB of DDR4 ECC Load Reduced DIMMs in a matched pair of 128 GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge XR11 and XR12 servers that require registered, error-correcting memory. Standard desktop boards cannot use these modules.

Load Reduced topology lowers electrical load on the memory controller, allowing the 4Rx4 organisation to run at 3200 MT/s CL22 without throttling during long compute runs.
