128GB DDR4 2400 ECC LRDIMM Kit

This 128GB kit contains two 64GB DDR4 2400 modules built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers including the R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 and R930 families. The modules use ECC Load Reduced DIMM technology with a 4Rx4 rank structure to support high-density memory configurations in compatible platforms. They operate at 1.20V with CL17 latency and are not suitable for desktop or laptop systems that require non-ECC unbuffered memory.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Load Reduced architecture reduces electrical load on the server memory bus, allowing the platform to maintain stability when all slots are populated with quad-rank modules. ECC circuitry corrects single-bit errors and detects multi-bit errors during continuous operation, helping to prevent data corruption in critical workloads. The 2400MHz rating and CL17 timing define the maximum transfer rate and latency the modules will deliver under the server's memory controller.

Build and Connectors

Each module uses a standard 288-pin DDR4 DIMM edge connector with no heat spreader, relying on the server chassis airflow for cooling. Major brand chipsets are used across both sticks to ensure consistent electrical characteristics. Mixing these LRDIMMs with registered DIMMs is not supported, and all installed modules must share the same ECC type. The kit includes two modules only; additional capacity requires matching kits.
