Socket LGA 1200 ATX motherboard

The ASUS TUF GAMING B460-PRO (WI-FI) fits Intel 10th Gen Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron processors in the LGA 1200 socket. It uses the Intel B460 chipset on a full-size ATX board. The layout provides four DDR4 memory slots, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot at x16 speed and a second x16 slot wired for x4 bandwidth. Three additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and six SATA 6Gb/s ports complete the expansion options.

Dual M.2 slots with Optane support on one

Two M.2 sockets accept drives in 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 lengths. Both run at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds and also support SATA signalling on the first socket. Only the second M.2 socket is validated for Intel Optane Memory Ready, so caching acceleration works solely from that position. The board also offers DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 1.4b video outputs driven by the processor graphics, with a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz.

128 GB DDR4 memory ceiling

Four 288-pin slots support dual-channel DDR4 up to 128 GB total capacity. Native speeds reach 2933 MHz with 10th Gen Core i9 and i7 processors; lower-speed modules down to 2133 MHz are also compatible. The Realtek ALC S1200A codec delivers eight-channel audio, while the Intel I219-V controller handles wired networking.
