AM4 platform for Ryzen builds

This ATX motherboard uses the AMD X570 chipset and AM4 socket to support third-generation Ryzen processors and, with a BIOS update, the Ryzen 5000 series. It provides four DDR4 slots for up to 128 GB of dual-channel memory at 3200 MT/s. Two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and two PCIe x1 slots give flexibility for graphics cards and add-in cards.

12+2 DrMOS power stages

A six-layer PCB, ProCool sockets and Digi+ VRM regulation form the enhanced power solution, while an active chipset heatsink, VRM heatsink and M.2 heatsink handle thermal load. Hybrid fan headers connect to Fan Xpert 4 for automated curve control. Connectivity includes eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports, two M.2 sockets, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C, 2.5 Gb Intel LAN, Intel WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Realtek S1200A codec delivers 108 dB stereo line-out and 103 dB line-in SNR. Addressable Gen 2 RGB headers work with Aura Sync.

Upgrade path from older AM4 boards

The jump adds PCIe 4.0 bandwidth for graphics and storage, 2.5 Gb wired networking and WiFi 6 wireless, plus a stronger VRM for higher core-count CPUs. It is worth it when moving to a Ryzen 5000 processor or when faster M.2 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports are needed for current workloads. BIOS Flashback lets you update firmware without a compatible CPU installed.
