This compact Black Box SP427A sits in-line between two RJ-45 links and maintains Ethernet or Gigabit communication across an electrical isolation barrier. It draws operating power from the network and connected equipment so no external supply is needed. The unit protects attached gear from ground-loop damage and harmful surges that cross segment boundaries. It is built for new installations where galvanic isolation is required on copper Ethernet.

Suited for copper Ethernet links needing isolation

Network engineers who must break ground loops between switches, servers or medical devices on standard copper runs will find this isolator fits directly in-line. It meets EN6060-1 and the European Medical Device Directive, so it can be deployed in clinical environments.
