Quad-Port 2.5 GbE Adapter
The C&N quad-port 2.5 GbE network adapter adds four 2.5 Gbps RJ45 connections through a single PCIe 3.1 x4 slot. It targets servers, workstations and NAS builds that need multi-gigabit wired throughput without using multiple expansion slots. Each port carries its own MAC address starting with 1CFD08 for easy network identification. Driver support covers Windows 10 and 11, Linux kernel 5.8 and 5.16.18, RHEL 8.1, 8.3 and 8.6, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, FreeBSD 13.0, VMware ESXi 7.0 and 8.0, plus DPDK, OpenWrt, Unraid and Proxmox VE.
PCIe 3.1 x4 electrical requirement
The card operates at PCIe 3.1 5 GT/s and requires an x4 electrical link; it fits physically into x4, x8 or x16 slots but will not negotiate full bandwidth in an x1 or x2 slot. A low-profile bracket is included for compact chassis installations. The controller integrates MAC and BASE-T PHY supporting 2500BASE-T, 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-TE under IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3bz standards. PXE boot is supported for diskless deployments.
