Ten 600 GB 10K SAS drives connect through the PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache and battery backup, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for continuous read/write performance. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and hot-swap design keep the system running during drive or power-module replacement.

Twelve-gigabit SAS interface

The 12 Gb/s SAS backplane limits each drive to that bandwidth, while the eight-bay chassis is populated with ten drives using the available slots.
