The PowerEdge R740 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with 24 cores. Tool-less rails and hot-swap bays simplify

The unit includes ready rails and a front bezel for quick rack mounting without tools. Eight 2.5-inch drive bays support hot-swap SAS or SATA drives, and the dual 750 W platinum power supplies are also hot-swappable. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.
