This 5U Dell PowerEdge T440 arrives with two Intel Xeon Gold 5120 processors running at 2.2 GHz and reaching 3.2 GHz turbo. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory populate four of the sixteen available slots. The chassis is new and includes a PERC HBA330 controller plus four 2.5-inch drive trays for immediate storage expansion.

Sixteen hot-swap bays and dual 750 W supplies

The system offers sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays that accept SAS, SATA and SSD media, while the installed HBA330 provides 12 Gb/s connectivity without RAID overhead. Two redundant 750 watt platinum power supplies share the load and allow hot replacement. Dual integrated gigabit Ethernet ports and iDRAC 9 Express handle network and remote management duties out of the box.
