Five-port USB 3.2 add-in card

This PCI Express x1 card adds five USB 3.2 ports to a desktop: three Type-A and two Type-C. It targets builders who need more front-panel or rear I/O for external drives, peripherals and VR headsets without replacing the motherboard. The board draws power directly from the slot, so no extra cable is required.

Sustained 10 Gbps bandwidth per port

Each port can deliver up to 10 Gbps when used alone; the two Type-C and two Type-A ports share that bandwidth pool, while the bottom Type-C port keeps its own dedicated 10 Gbps lane. Real-world throughput will drop when multiple high-speed drives transfer simultaneously, and the card does not support Thunderbolt or video output.

Driver install on older Windows.

Windows 7, 8, Vista, XP and Server 2008 need the supplied Renesas/VLI driver from the included CD or a download. Windows 10, 11, Linux and macOS 10.8.2+ recognise the card automatically. The half-height bracket fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots, but low-profile cases may need the full-height bracket swapped.
