This ESTONE PCIE24USBA card adds four USB-A ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express 2.0 x1 lane. It targets builders who need more front-panel or rear connectivity for keyboards, mice, flash drives, printers or other high-draw USB 3.0 peripherals. The board draws all required power from the slot itself, so no extra power cable is needed.

Total 5.0 Gbps shared across four ports

The USB 3.0 interface is rated at up to 5.0 Gbps, but that bandwidth is divided among all active ports rather than guaranteed per port. Plug-and-play operation works on Windows 11, 10, 8.1 and 8 (32-bit and 64-bit) as well as Windows Server 2012 through 2019. Windows 7, Vista and XP require the driver from the included mini-CD. Mac OS is not supported.

NEC720201 chip with per-port 2 A supply

The NEC720201 controller provides each port with a dedicated 2 A current limit, totalling 8 A across the card, and includes two circuit protectors plus voltage-stabilising capacitance for device safety. The low-profile bracket fits standard PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots, and the package supplies mounting screws and a user manual for quick installation.
