Dense 1U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL360 G9 fits a dual-processor platform into a single rack unit, making it suitable for space-constrained datacentres. It ships with one Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots. The Smart HBA H240ar controller manages four 1 TB SAS drives in the front bays with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support. A second processor can be added later to reach the platform maximum of 36 cores.

Dual 500 W redundant supplies

Two hot-swap 500 W power supplies share the load and provide failover without downtime. The 1U chassis uses internal fans that ramp with inlet temperature to cool both CPUs, memory and the four 3.5-inch drive bays. Acoustic output rises under sustained compute load but remains within typical rack-environment limits. Power draw scales with the number of installed processors, memory modules and spinning drives.

Four LFF bays and rear I/O

The front panel holds four large-form-factor trays pre-populated with 7.2K SAS drives; trays are included only with drives. Rear connectivity includes the Matrox G200 video output, two power inlets and standard management ports for remote console access. No optical drive or media bay is fitted. Expanding storage beyond the four bays requires external enclosures, while adding the second CPU unlocks the remaining 12 DIMM slots and additional PCIe lanes.
