Dual-socket Xeon E5-2690 v4 server

This 1U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors, each running at 2.6GHz with 14 cores and 35MB cache. The 384GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory fills half the 768GB maximum, leaving room for expansion. It targets virtualisation hosts, database nodes and compute clusters that need strong multi-thread throughput in a single rack unit.

Four-bay 3.5-inch chassis limits internal storage

Only four large-form-factor drive bays are available, so raw capacity tops out at the size of four 3.5-inch SATA drives. The onboard HPE Smart Array P440 SAS controller manages RAID across those bays but cannot add more physical disks. Buyers who want more storage must attach external JBODs or a SAN. The dual 10GbE and dual 1GbE ports handle network traffic without extra cards.

Redundant power and rails simplify deployment

Two 500W Flex Slot supplies provide N+1 redundancy and hot-swap replacement without downtime. HPE iLO Advanced gives full remote console, power control and firmware update over a dedicated management port. An optional rail kit secures the 36 x 24 x 10 inch, 40-unit chassis in standard racks. Integrated graphics covers basic video; no discrete GPU slot is present.
