The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 fits a single Intel Xeon Silver 4416+ processor with 20 cores at 2.0 GHz into a 1U chassis. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and an MR408i-o controller driving eight hot-swappable SFF bays. The platform targets IT teams that need compute density for virtualised, containerised or database workloads in standard racks.

Build requirements and expansion headroom

A second processor socket is available to double core count up to 60 cores total, and sixteen memory slots support up to 8 TB of DDR5 per system. PCIe Gen5 lanes open with the second CPU, while the single 800 W supply powers the current configuration. The C741 chipset provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 12 Gb/s SAS connectivity without extra adapters.

Included controller and management software

The MR408i-o controller manages the eight SFF bays with 12 Gb/s SAS throughput, removing the need for a separate HBA. Integrated Lights-Out firmware enables remote deployment, monitoring and firmware updates across Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, Ubuntu Server, Oracle Linux and Citrix XenServer. Graphics output is limited to 16 MB for basic console access.
