The MSI Core Frozr XL is a dual-fan tower cooler built around eight nickel-plated 6 mm heat pipes and an aluminum-and-copper heatsink rated to dissipate up to 250 W. Two 120 mm fans spin between 500 and 1800 RPM, delivering 19.79 to 71.27 CFM at 17.2 to 33.6 dBA. A 4-pin PWM/DC connector and 16.8 million-colour RGB lighting controlled via Mystic Light complete the package.

Suitable for legacy Intel and AMD sockets

This cooler fits Intel LGA 775, 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011 and 2011-3 plus AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4, FM1 and FM2. Builders working with newer socket generations not listed above will need a different mounting kit or cooler.

170 mm maximum cooler height

The assembled unit measures 170 mm tall with both fans installed, so the chassis must provide at least that much CPU cooler clearance. Cases with tighter internal space cannot accommodate this model.
