The board relies on passive heatsinks over the voltage-regulator area so thermal performance and noise depend on case airflow rather than active cooling. A Realtek RTL8125B-CG controller delivers 2.5 Gbps wired networking without adding fan noise. Power draw scales with the installed CPU and memory kit; the board itself adds only the chipset and onboard controller overhead.

LGA 1200 socket defines CPU compatibility

Only processors built for the LGA 1200 socket will fit this motherboard. The Z490 chipset enables overclocking features for unlocked K-series chips while also accepting locked 10th and 11th Gen Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron parts.
