64GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM for Supermicro servers

This 64GB DDR4 2933MHz ECC registered DIMM is built for Supermicro motherboards including the X11DPi-NT, X11DPL-i, X11DPS-RE, X11DPT-B and X11DPT-BH. It targets administrators upgrading workstation or server platforms that require registered memory with error correction. The module operates at 1.2V with CL21 latency and uses a 2Rx4 rank configuration. It will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered memory.

Capacity and speed headroom

The single module delivers 64GB of capacity, providing substantial headroom for virtualisation, large datasets or multi-user workloads. Rated at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400), it also runs at 2666MHz, 2400MHz and 2133MHz when the platform dictates a lower speed. The registered buffer and ECC function maintain data integrity under sustained load, but the CL21 timing and 2933MHz ceiling limit raw bandwidth compared to faster registered DIMMs.

Build integration requirements

The 288-pin RDIMM fits server and workstation boards that explicitly support registered ECC memory; it cannot be mixed with unbuffered modules. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the DIMM slots must be adequate for the chassis design. The module replaces Supermicro part numbers MEMDR464LCL01ER29, MEMDR464LHL02ER29, MEMDR464LSL01ER29 and MEM-DR464MC-ER29, simplifying procurement for those specific platforms.
