HP ProLiant G6/G7 server memory kit

This kit supplies 32 GB of DDR3 ECC registered RDIMM memory across four 8 GB modules. It is built for HP ProLiant DL360 G7, DL370 G6, DL380 G7, DL385 G7 and DL580 G7 servers that require registered error-correcting memory. The modules run at 1333 MT/s with CL9 latency at 1.5 V. They will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered DIMMs.

240-pin registered DIMM form factor

Each module uses the 240-pin DDR3 RDIMM layout with a 2Rx4 organisation and no heat spreader. The registered design places a buffer on the command and address lines, reducing electrical load on the server memory controller when all slots are populated. ECC circuitry detects and corrects single-bit errors to protect data integrity in continuous operation. The 1.5 V operating voltage matches the specification for these ProLiant generations.

Verify registered ECC requirement and slot count

Before ordering, confirm that your server requires registered ECC RDIMMs and cannot accept unbuffered or non-ECC memory. Check the system documentation for the maximum supported capacity per slot and the total number of available DIMM sockets. Ensure the existing configuration does not mix registered and unbuffered modules, as this prevents boot. Match the 1333 MT/s speed and 1.5 V voltage to the platform's memory bus settings.
