High-capacity SATA SSD for everyday upgrades
The Samsung 870 QVO is a second-generation QLC solid-state drive offering 4 TB of storage over a standard SATA III interface. It targets everyday PC users, IT professionals and creators who want a large, affordable capacity boost for a desktop or laptop without changing platform.
Sustained write performance and endurance
Sequential reads reach 560 MB/s and writes 530 MB/s within the SATA interface limit. Intelligent TurboWrite uses a larger variable buffer to maintain higher write speeds over long transfers, improving sustained write performance by up to 21 per cent versus the previous model. Endurance is rated at 360 TBW with a refined ECC algorithm for stable operation.
Simple 2.5-inch installation
The drive fits any standard 2.5-inch SATA bay and connects with the same data and power cables used by mechanical hard drives. No extra drivers or firmware steps are required for basic operation; the main limitation is the SATA bus itself, so systems without a spare SATA port or 2.5-inch slot cannot use this drive.

Domande su questo articolo
Does the 870 QVO 4 TB run hot or draw much power during all-day use?
As a SATA SSD with no moving parts it generates minimal heat and draws very little power, so it stays cool and quiet even under continuous workloads.
My laptop only has a 2.5-inch SATA bay — will this drive fit and work without extra parts?
Yes, the 2.5-inch form factor and standard SATA interface match that bay exactly; no adapter or bracket is required.
Will the 870 QVO 4 TB slow down an older SATA II system I plan to keep?
It will operate at the SATA II link speed of 3 Gb/s, so sequential transfers are limited to that bus, but random access and latency remain far better than a mechanical drive.
