This expansion card uses a PLX PEX8724 switch to present four M.2 NVMe slots through a single PCIe 3.0 x8 connection. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factors. Heatsink, fan and mounting hardware included

A full-profile bracket comes pre-installed alongside a heatsink-and-fan assembly that covers all four drives. The package also supplies four SSD mounting screws with nuts and four heatsink screws. These parts let the installer secure drives and cooling without sourcing extra fasteners or brackets.

PCIe 3.0 x8 host link limits total bandwidth

The upstream x8 Gen 3 link caps aggregate throughput at the bus level, so four simultaneous drives share that pool. The card operates from 5 °C to 50 °C and stores from -25 °C to 70 °C. It does not add NVMe support to systems that lack PCIe 3.0 or an x8 electrical slot.
