The Supermicro MBD-X13SEI-TF-B is a new server motherboard built around the LGA 4677 socket for 4th and 5th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors up to 350 W TDP. It targets system integrators and IT teams building rackmount or tower servers that need high core counts and enterprise-grade reliability in a standard form factor.

PCIe 5.0 lanes and storage limits

The board provides two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and three PCIe 5.0 x8 slots, with two of the x8 links delivered through MCIO connectors for up to four NVMe drives. Two M.2 slots accept 2280 or 22110 modules at PCIe 5.0 x4 speeds. Ten SATA 6 Gbps ports handle traditional drives, while dual 10 GbE ports from the Intel X550 controller serve high-throughput networking.

Eight DDR5 channels and rear I/O layout

Eight DIMM slots support up to 2 TB of DDR5-5600 3DS ECC RDIMM memory in a one-DIMM-per-channel configuration. Rear I/O includes two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA connector and a dedicated Aspeed AST2600 BMC port for out-of-band management. An internal USB 3.2 Gen1 header and a Type-A port add flexibility for boot devices or licensing dongles.
