Dual Xeon Silver 4110 2U Server

The Supermicro SYS-6029U-E1CR4T is a 2U rackmount system fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors, each running at 2.10 GHz with eight cores. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. Twelve hot-swap 3.5-inch bays accept SATA or SAS drives, while an LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Dual 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power.

Networking and Expansion

Four 10GBase-T ports driven by an Intel X710 controller handle high-throughput traffic, and a dedicated RJ45 IPMI 2.0 port enables remote KVM-over-LAN and virtual media management. The chassis offers two full-height PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, four full-height PCIe 3.0 x8 slots and one low-profile PCIe 3.0 x8 slot for additional controllers or accelerators. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.

Capacity and Limits

The twelve 3.5-inch bays provide dense local storage for virtualization hosts, hyper-converged clusters or backup targets, and the MegaRAID 9361-8i manages eight SAS or SATA ports directly. Memory can scale to 6 TB using all 24 DIMM slots with 3DS ECC DDR4 modules, and the platform supports second-generation Xeon Scalable CPUs up to 28 cores and 205 W TDP per socket. Workloads that demand more than eight 12 Gb/s SAS lanes or more than six PCIe expansion cards will exceed the onboard controller and slot budget.
