Vszerda JMT 2X USB 3.1 Adapter
This Vszerda adapter connects an M.2 SATA solid-state drive through a USB 3.1 Type-C or dual Type-A interface. It suits users who need to access B-key or B+M-key NGFF modules sized 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 on a system with USB ports. The board uses a D720201 controller and requires a SATA data cable plus SATA power from the host. It does not accept NVMe PCIe SSDs.
Sustained transfer behaviour
The device conforms to USB 3.1 Gen 2 and PCI Express X2 basic specification 2.0, supporting simultaneous operation of USB 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 devices at rates up to 5 Gbps. Built-in current protection on each output port helps maintain stable operation during extended copy or backup sessions. Compatible with xHCI 1.1 and UASP protocols for efficient command queuing under continuous load.
SATA-only M.2 requirement
The single specification that decides compatibility is the M.2 slot protocol: only SATA-based NGFF drives with B-key or B+M-key notches are supported. NVMe PCIe modules will not function in this adapter. Buyers must verify their drive uses the SATA interface before purchase.

Domande su questo articolo
How much power does the JMT 2X adapter draw when an M.2 SATA drive runs all day?
The adapter uses a D720201 controller with built-in current protection on each USB port and draws power from a SATA power connector, so sustained load depends on the installed drive rather than the card itself.
Which cables and host ports must I already have to use the JMT 2X with a 2280 M.2 SATA drive?
You need a SATA data cable to link the adapter's SATA 3.0 input to the motherboard, a SATA power cable from the PSU, and a free USB 3.1 Type-C or USB 3.0 Type-A port on the host.
Will the JMT 2X work alongside an older SATA III hard drive on the same motherboard?
Yes, the adapter presents the M.2 SATA drive as a standard USB 3.1 Gen 1 device at 5 Gbps, so it coexists with any existing SATA 3.0 storage without protocol conflicts.
