LM337 Adjustable Regulator Module

The Vszerda XR-103 is a dual-polarity linear regulator board built around the LM337 and its positive counterpart. Each module accepts a centre-tapped AC input up to 28 V and delivers a continuously adjustable output from 1.25 V to 30 V at up to 1.5 A. The pack contains ten identical boards for prototyping or small-run production.

Integration Into A Prototype Build

The three-wire AC input connects directly to a suitable transformer secondary, so no separate rectifier board is required. Each module provides both positive and negative rails from a single PCB, freeing bench space and reducing wiring compared with two single-ended regulators. Designers must provide adequate heatsinking for the pass devices when operating near the 1.5 A limit.

Thermals Noise And Power Draw

Linear regulation keeps output ripple very low, with a typical rejection ratio of 80 dB. Load regulation is 0.1 % and line regulation is 0.01 %, so voltage remains stable as current demand changes. Built-in short-circuit, overcurrent and thermal-shutdown circuits protect the silicon during fault conditions, but sustained high current will raise device temperature significantly.
