Four-Bay Desktop Enclosure
This four-bay enclosure accepts 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs, providing up to 64 terabytes of external storage for home or office workloads. It connects through a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port and includes a 12 V 6.5 A power adapter for stable operation. An 80 mm fan and aluminium chassis keep drives cool during extended use.
USB 3.1 Gen 1 Bandwidth Limit
The USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface caps transfer rates at 5 Gbps, so sustained throughput will not exceed the bus limit even though the internal SATA links support 6 Gbps. The enclosure is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 hosts, but performance drops to those slower standards. No RAID controller is present, so each drive appears separately to the operating system.
JBOD Upgrade From Single-Drive Docks
Users moving from a single-bay dock gain four independent drive slots without purchasing multiple enclosures. The push-tray mechanism simplifies drive swaps compared with screw-mounted carriers. Spare trays are sold separately in six-packs, and the unit requires a USB-C host port for full-speed connectivity.
