Socket and chipset

This motherboard uses the sTR4 socket with the AMD X399 chipset. It is built for first- and second-generation Ryzen Threadripper processors. The board delivers an 11-phase digital power design with Dr. MOS components.

Memory capacity and headroom

Eight 288-pin slots support quad-channel DDR4 up to 128 GB. Speeds range from 2133 to 3600+(OC) with intermediate steps at 2400, 2667, 2933 and 3200. A 32-bit operating system limits usable memory to under 4 GB.

Expansion and storage interfaces
