The ASUS PRIME B550M-A AC is a micro-ATX motherboard built around the AMD B550 chipset and AM4 socket. It supports Ryzen 5000 Series, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series and 3000 Series desktop processors. The board includes integrated 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Aura Sync RGB lighting for system coordination.
DDR4 memory up to 128 GB capacity
Four 288-pin DDR4 slots accept up to 128 GB in dual-channel mode. Supported speeds range from 2133 MT/s to 4866 MT/s when overclocked, with XMP 2.0 profiles available. ECC memory support depends on the installed CPU. The primary M.2 socket handles 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factors over PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA.
PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and SATA 6 Gbps limits
A single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot provides high-bandwidth graphics connectivity when paired with a compatible Ryzen processor; a second slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x16. Two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots add expansion room. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports support RAID 0, 1 and 10 arrays. USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports deliver 10 Gbps peripheral throughput.
