The ASUS TUF Gaming A2 is a rugged M.2 SSD enclosure built to U.S. MIL-STD-810H and IP68 standards. It accepts NVMe and SATA drives in 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. A screw-free Q-Latch mechanism allows quick drive swaps. An aluminum chassis with a thermal pad manages heat during heavy workloads.
USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 Throughput Limit
The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface caps the maximum data transfer rate at 20 Gbps. Real-world speeds will depend on the installed SSD, the host controller and cable quality. The enclosure operates reliably between 0 and 40 °C. It does not support drives larger than the 2280 form factor or interfaces other than NVMe and SATA.
