The card connects through a PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface, which sets the maximum data rate between the GPU and the rest of the system. Workloads that move very large image datasets across the bus will be limited by this generation-three link rather than by the card’s own processing capability.

2 GB GDDR5 frame buffer capacity

Only 2 GB of GDDR5 memory is available for textures, frame buffers and intermediate compute results.
