This 64 GB kit contains two 32 GB DDR4-2666 ECC registered DIMMs built for Lenovo ThinkStation P520 and P720 workstations. The modules run at 1.2 V with CL19 timings and a 2Rx8 organisation. Registered buffering and ECC protect data integrity in multi-socket server workloads.

Upgrade from non-ECC or lower-capacity DIMMs

The kit replaces unbuffered or smaller registered modules when the platform demands ECC and registered signalling. It is validated for 2nd Generation Xeon Scalable x2xx Series processors and supports system maximums of 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB across 4 or 8 sockets per processor. Mixing registered with load-reduced DIMMs or combining different memory types in the same system is not supported.

Under continuous utilisation the registered interface reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing all 24 DIMM sockets to be populated with two processors installed. Faster-rated modules automatically clock down to the processor’s supported 2666 MT/s rate. Performance scales with matched-pair installation and a 64-bit operating system.
