SFX 850 W Platinum power supply

The Corn Electronics TF850 Platinum is an SFX form-factor unit rated at 850 W with 80 Plus Platinum certification. It targets builders of compact desktop systems who need high output from a 125 mm deep chassis. Full modular cabling and a single +12 V rail simplify routing in space-constrained cases. The unit supports both Intel and AMD platforms through a standard 20+4 pin main connector.

Replaces lower-wattage SFX units

This supply steps up from 750 W rated platforms when a build demands more headroom for high-end graphics cards. The jump is worth it when the combined 12 V draw approaches 62.5 A or when four 6+2 pin PCIe connectors are required. Eight SATA power plugs and three peripheral connectors cover dense storage arrays without adapters. Active PFC and LLC resonant topology maintain stable delivery across 100–240 V input.

Sustained load behaviour

Japanese 105 °C capacitors and synchronous rectification keep efficiency above 90 % during extended operation. The 90 mm intelligent fan adjusts speed to thermal load, limiting noise while maintaining component temperatures. Protections include OVP, OCP, OPP, SCP, UVP, OTP and surge protection for continuous reliability. MTBF exceeds 120000 hours under nominal conditions.
