Storage controller limits and drive interface

The PERC H730P controller operates at 12 Gb/s and supports SAS and SATA drives with RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Eight 2.5-inch bays are populated with 960 GB SATA SSDs running at 6 Gb/s. The controller includes a 2 GB battery-backed cache, but the 1U chassis restricts further internal drive expansion beyond the eight bays.

Dual redundant power and remote management

Two 550 Watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet handles network connectivity while iDRAC 9 Express enables remote monitoring and administration. The front bezel and ready rails are not included, so rack mounting hardware must be sourced separately for installation.
