Dual Xeon E5-2660 v3 server for virtualisation

This 2U rack system ships with two 10-core Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors running at 2.6 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. The 768 GB DDR4 registered ECC memory fills all 24 slots, giving large memory capacity for database, VDI or HPC data-node roles. Dual 400 GB SATA SSDs provide fast boot and scratch space on the PERC H730 controller.

Sustained throughput with hardware RAID and 10 GbE

The PERC H730 1 GB cache controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for consistent disk performance under continuous load. Quad-port networking combines two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links on the Intel X520/I350 daughter card, keeping VM migration and storage traffic flowing without bottlenecks. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies share load and maintain operation if one unit fails.

Hot-swap bays, rails and remote management built

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays accept SAS or SATA media and can be swapped without downtime. ReadyRails and a front bezel are included for quick mounting in standard cabinets. iDRAC8 Enterprise gives full out-of-band control over power, console and firmware updates from any browser. The system is sold new and ready for immediate deployment.
