This new Dell PowerEdge R730 2U rack system ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors running at 2.20 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU delivers 22 cores for a total of 44 threads across dual sockets. The platform includes 768 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory populated across 24 DIMM slots. A PERC H730 1 GB controller manages eight 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives in hot-swap bays. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies provide redundancy.

Suited for dense compute and memory-heavy workloads

The server targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, databases or high-performance computing data nodes. Quad-port networking with two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ connections supports segmented traffic. iDRAC 8 Enterprise enables full remote management.
