The chassis includes a PERC H730P RAID controller and dual 1100W power supplies. This configuration suits organisations that need dense local storage for databases, virtualisation or backup targets.

Thermals and power in normal use

Two redundant 1100W supplies share the load so each unit runs well below its rating during typical operation. The system uses Dell's iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management to monitor inlet temperature and fan speed continuously. Integrated graphics and a 10GbE 2-port 562T adapter add minimal heat. Acoustic output stays low enough for standard data-centre rows.

Behaviour under sustained load

When all 24 drive bays are populated and the Xeon runs near 100% utilisation, the fans ramp automatically to maintain safe inlet temperatures. The PERC H730P controller sustains high-throughput SAS traffic without throttling. Dual power supplies maintain redundancy even if one unit fails during a prolonged write-heavy workload. The platform supports a second Xeon 4110 for doubled compute capacity when the workload demands it.
