This Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 5120 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo. Fourteen cores per socket give 28 threads for parallel workloads. It targets virtualization hosts, database nodes and software-defined storage clusters.

128 GB DDR4 with 1 TB ceiling

The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across four 32 GB modules. Sixteen DIMM slots allow expansion to 1 TB when datasets grow. The PERC HBA330 controller presents twelve-gigabit SAS and SATA connectivity to the drive backplane without RAID overhead.
