The DEWANG 3D printing pen is a handheld extruder designed for children and beginners to create three-dimensional drawings and models. It feeds 1.75 mm PLA filament through a 0.7 mm ceramic nozzle at temperatures between 190 and 210 degrees. The white ABS shell measures 185 by 43 by 29 mm and includes a pen base for stable storage between sessions.

Power and Speed Constraints

Operation requires the supplied 5V 2A AC/DC adapter with an EU plug; the pen has no internal battery and cannot run from a standard USB port alone. A single button controls power and cycles through three extrusion speeds, while a separate key handles filament loading and retraction. The switch is rated for 3000 presses and heat-sink holes around the nozzle carry an anti-scalding warning.

Filament Capacity and Practical Limits

The package includes 30 metres of PLA split into three 10-metre spools of random colours, enough for many small figures or decorative pieces. PLA prints at the lower end of the temperature range and cools quickly, but the pen cannot process materials requiring higher heat or different diameters. Complex, large-scale structures will exhaust the included filament and demand additional spools.
