8K HDMI 2.1 Extender over HDBaseT

The Gefen GF-EXT-HD-HBT extends HDMI 2.1 signals up to 150 metres over a single CAT cable. It delivers visually lossless 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG support. HDCP 2.3 compliance protects premium content. The kit includes transmitter and receiver units, a locking 12 V power supply, Phoenix connectors and mounting ears for professional AV installations.

Verify cable category and HDMI version

Confirm the CAT cable rating meets the bandwidth required for the target resolution and distance. The source must output HDMI 2.1 and the display must accept the intended resolution and refresh rate. Ensure the locking 12 V power supply can reach an outlet at both the transmitter and receiver locations. Check that the Phoenix connectors match the control system wiring plan.

Integrates with control systems and USB

Two RJ-45 ports provide network connectivity for IP-based control alongside the HDBaseT link. Dual USB ports allow peripheral extension such as keyboards, mice or touchscreens. Two IR inputs enable remote source control from the display side. The compact 10.4 by 8.1 by 3 inch chassis fits standard racks using the included mounting ears, freeing the source equipment from the display location.
