The HPE DL360 Gen9 arrives with two Intel Xeon E5-2667 v4 processors running at 3.2GHz, each providing eight cores and 25MB cache. Installed memory totals 512GB of DDR4 ECC registered DIMMs, expandable to 768GB. This configuration targets virtualisation hosts, database nodes and compute clusters that need high core density in a 1U rack footprint.

Eight 2.5-inch bay limit and SAS controller

The 8SFF chassis accepts up to eight 2.5-inch drives using SATA or SAS interfaces through the onboard HPE Smart Array P440 controller. No drives are installed, so buyers must add storage before deployment. The PCIe SAS controller caps throughput at the P440 specification, and the eight-bay backplane sets a hard ceiling on internal capacity.

Redundant power and remote management

Dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy in a 36 x 24 x 10 inch enclosure weighing 40 pounds. HPE iLO Advanced enables out-of-band management, firmware updates and remote console access without an operating system. Integrated Intel I350 and X540 network adapters deliver two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports. Rails are available separately for rack mounting.
