HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 tower server

The HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 is a new tower server built for general-purpose workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon 6 6325P processor running at 3.5 GHz with four cores and 12 MB L3 cache. The system includes 32 GB of HPE DDR5 Smart Memory as one 4800 MT/s UDIMM. Two 960 GB SATA read-intensive SSDs are installed on an HPE MR216i-p Gen11 x16 storage controller.

Build integration and expansion

The 4U tower chassis provides four expansion slots for additional controllers or network adapters. An embedded 1 Gb four-port Ethernet adapter handles baseline connectivity without consuming a slot. Two hot-plug 500 W Flex Slot Platinum power supplies deliver redundant power from the factory. A single non-hot-plug system fan manages airflow, so the platform does not support hot-swap fan maintenance.

Sustained-load behaviour

The Xeon 6325P operates at a 55 W TDP, allowing the single fan and dual power supplies to maintain stable thermals during continuous operation. Read-intensive SSDs paired with the cache-less MR216i-p controller suit workloads dominated by steady read throughput rather than burst write performance. DDR5 memory at 4800 MT/s provides consistent bandwidth for memory-bound tasks that run for extended periods.
