Drive bay and controller limits

The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays connected through an HPE Smart Array P408 SAS controller with SATA interface. No drives are installed, so the usable capacity and performance ceiling depend entirely on the disks the buyer adds; the eight-bay maximum and single-controller topology set the hard boundary for internal storage expansion.

Processor core count decision

The installed Xeon Silver 4114 provides ten cores at 2.2GHz with 13.75MB cache, and the system board accepts a second identical processor. If the workload demands more than ten cores or higher single-thread frequency, this configuration will not meet the requirement without a second CPU purchase.
