The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 chassis holds two Xeon E5-2690 v3 processors at 2.6GHz, each with 12 cores and 30MB cache. It ships with 256GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and supports up to 3TB total. The 4LFF bay layout accepts 3.5-inch SATA drives behind a Smart Array P440 SAS controller. Integrated graphics and a dual-port 1GB 332T adapter handle basic display and network needs.

Rack-ready platform with flexible storage

Two 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy in a 2U form factor measuring 36 by 24 by 10 inches and weighing 40 pounds. The P440 controller frees internal PCIe slots for additional networking or acceleration cards. Drive bays are empty so you can populate them with the capacity and speed profile your workload demands. HPE iLO Advanced remote management is included for out-of-band control.

Sustained multi-threaded throughput under load

Twenty-four cores and large shared cache keep parallel workloads moving during extended render, simulation or database jobs. DDR4 ECC memory corrects single-bit errors without halting the system. Redundant power supplies and the P440’s battery-backed cache protect data integrity during unexpected power events. The chassis airflow design maintains stable temperatures when all cores run at full turbo for hours.
