Ready-to-deploy 2U rack server

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 arrives with two Xeon E5-2660V3 processors at 2.6GHz, each delivering 10 cores and 25MB cache. A full 384GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory is already installed across the 24 DIMM slots. The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch SAS drives and includes the Smart Array P440 controller with 2GB flash-backed write cache. Dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies and iLO Advanced remote management are fitted as standard.

Storage and networking you choose

No drives are included, so you select the exact SAS capacity and RAID level the workload requires. The onboard Intel I350 and X540 adapters provide two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports for flexible network design. A rail kit is available on request but does not ship by default. Firmware and BIOS are updated to the latest stable release before dispatch, and every unit passes a full burn-in test.

Two-socket limit defines maximum compute

The system board accepts a maximum of two processors, so the installed pair already reaches the socket ceiling. Memory can still grow to 3TB when the workload demands it, but CPU performance is fixed at 20 total cores. Buyers who need more sockets or a newer instruction set must look at a different platform.
