256MB DDR333 module for ThinkCentre
This 256MB DDR SDRAM module runs at 333MHz with CL2.5 latency and is built for IBM ThinkCentre A30, A50, A50p, M50 and S50 desktops listed by machine type. It adds capacity to systems that still use 184-pin unbuffered non-parity DIMMs.
Install by seating the 184-pin DIMM
Align the notch on the module with the key in the slot and press firmly until the retention clips click. The most common issue is inserting the stick backwards or not pressing hard enough to engage both clips, which leaves the module partially seated.
PC2700 standard decides compatibility
The module follows the DDR333/PC2700 standard with a 2700MB/sec peak transfer rate, so it only works in boards that officially support that speed and density. Systems requiring registered, ECC or faster DDR memory cannot use this part.
