Server DDR3 ECC module

The Kingston ValueRAM KVR16LE11/8 is an 8 GB DDR3 DIMM built for servers that require error-correcting memory. It runs at 1600 MHz with a CAS latency of CL11 and operates at 1.35 V. The unbuffered design plugs directly into 240-pin slots without a register.

Sustained throughput stability

ECC circuitry detects and corrects single-bit errors on every read and write cycle, so data integrity is maintained during long compute jobs or virtualization workloads. The low 1.35 V supply keeps power draw modest while the module holds its rated 1600 MHz speed. Unbuffered signalling avoids the extra clock cycle that registered DIMMs add.

Thermals and power in normal use

At 1.35 V the module generates less heat than standard 1.5 V DDR3, allowing it to run cool inside densely populated server chassis. No active cooling is required on the DIMM itself; airflow from system fans is sufficient. The reduced voltage also lowers overall platform power consumption.
