Compact 2U UPS for rack and tower use

The Minuteman EXR2000RT2U is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 2000 VA and 1800 W. It fits a 2U rack space, comes with pre-installed rack ears and an included rail kit, and can also operate as a tower or be wall-mounted with an optional kit. True sine-wave output is provided in both AC and battery modes.

Input window and outlet limits

The unit accepts an input range of 80 to 164 VAC at 120 V nominal and auto-senses 50/60 Hz within +/- 6 Hz. Output voltage is regulated to 101-136 VAC at 120 V nominal. Eight NEMA 5-15/20R receptacles and one NEMA L5-20R receptacle are available, fed by a NEMA 5-20P input plug. Surge protection is rated at 1,000 Joules with an additional 800 Joules rating and includes 1 Gbit RJ45 Ethernet in/out protection.

Replaces smaller UPS when runtime

At half load the internal battery delivers 13 minutes of runtime, while full load provides 4.5 minutes. The battery is user-replaceable using part BM0088. An independent battery bypass keeps the load powered during battery swaps. A power factor of at least 0.9 means more usable watts per VA than lower-factor units, so the upgrade is worthwhile when connected equipment draws closer to the 1800 W rating. Management interfaces include DB-9, USB and RJ-45 ports.
