Intel B150 Micro-ATX Board

This MSI motherboard uses the Intel B150 chipset on a Micro-ATX form factor with an LGA 1151 socket. It accepts 6th generation Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors built on a 14 nm process. The board is sold as new without the original retail box and ships with an I/O shield. A CMOS battery is not included due to air transport rules.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Four DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 64 GB of dual-channel memory at 2133 MHz. The 8-pin and 24-pin power connectors feed the CPU and board logic during extended sessions. Integrated Realtek ALC1150 8-channel audio and an onboard Intel I219V Gigabit network controller operate continuously without extra add-in cards. Six SATA III ports provide steady throughput for multiple storage devices.

Expansion Decides Fit

Two PCI-E 3.0 x16 graphics slots and two PCI-E x1 slots determine how many expansion cards can be installed simultaneously. Rear I/O supplies four USB 3.1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one DVI video output, one RJ45 network jack and audio jacks. Internal headers add two more USB 3.1 and four USB 2.0 connections. Buyers who need more than two full-size graphics slots or who require onboard Wi-Fi should look elsewhere.
